We arrived in New Mexico this morning at around 7am after driving for what seemed like forever.
Albuquerque is a rough looking city. Its like a Hispanic version of Edmonton or Calgary. The boys seem a little surprised by the look of the place. I don't know what they thought it was going to be - im not surprised at all.
We bought groceries at a little store called the "nice and fresh" (speaks for itself?) - the three of us wandered around - a little put off by the not-so-fresh food but happy to have some promise of dinner. Matt was being a child - I cant stand the way he communicates sometimes - but hes French so i learn to ignore his moods. I think we're all a little tired from the trip. The amount of work is overwhelming too.
They're going to check out Santa Fe tomorrow while i set up casting sessions and deal with the city. I have so much work to do but I'll be happy for a bit of space. I need a CREW, I need Locations, I need equipment, and i need a schedule!!
We also need cast like we need air and nothing seems to be coming through from LA or New York.
I keep my fingers crossed and try not to worry about any of it. It all just comes together. This is how we make movies.
