Naughty or nice?

I almost crashed my car into the side of a condor. I'm not going to lie - I was checking out the cowboy walking down the street... but lets face the fact that the condor was in the middle of the road - in the middle of downtown.

The reason for the strange placement of the condor was none other than: Christmas.

The city of Albuquerque was in the middle of putting up garland while i was busy admiring how much that cowboy resembled Brad Pitt in his early pre-dad years. Christmas. Cactus. Snowmen. Dry heat. Christmas.

I found a real grocery store and as I was picking out some soy milk - i realized i was humming along to "we three kings"
This is the moment when I realized we'll have to push our shoot date to after thanksgiving. "we three kings of filmmaking are - pushing the shoot date - we've traveled so far"

The boy's trip to Santa FE was brutal (apparently nothing impressive as far as locations go) and we're all a little discouraged by it.
Tonight we had a discussion about not shooting here. Tomorrow I might have to rework the budget for shooting Utah - or just heading home. I'd like to keep going. I don't shoot movies by second guessing and I'm not used to this wishy washy bull shit.

I had to get out of the house tonight. Discussions got tense and I needed a coffee. I took off to this coffee shop right across from University of NM. I ended up talking to an English student from California who told me New Mexico is the most backward place hes ever been. I'd have to agree.. but he swore he'd never be happy anywhere else. He was so sure of it.

I dont think ive ever been sure of anything. Maybe i have...
I miss Laura Clarke like i miss dairy products.

Laura,
wherever you are, I intend to only make movies with you for the rest of my life.
... you just make sense. I guess thats soul mates for you. Love ya.

Love ya too deary. Yesterday I was selling Britney Spears Perfume, today I was hostessing in a sports bar on a day where 50,000 people were downtown at the Lions Game and 20,000 people were watching the Canuks (win!). And tomorrow I am gripping for a still shoot at the bridge. WTF? Let's get a good script together cause I've never had one of those. And these girly jobs are dragging me down.

If everything goes well with the paper work tomorrow my new home will be 1111 Barclay @ Thurlow :O DOWNTOWN. I want to have you for dinner. like heterosexual jelly beans.
