MEL
My name is Melanie Elisha Witt
ME
What are we doing right now?
MEL
Currently we are on our way to the ferry. It is dark. But we have coffee
ME
What is your middle name?
MEL
Elisha. With and E.
ME
Melanie Elisha. When were you born and where?
MEL
I was born Dec. 11, 1987 in Edmonton Alberta
ME
Do you have/have you had any siblings?
MEL
I have one sibling named Marie Witt. I don’t know if she has a middle name now.
ME
Lets pretend im in the room casue I am
MEL
Ok. You’re my sister (laughs)
ME

Um. ya
ME
What other siblings have you had?
MEL
I have, I guess, 4 other step siblings. Kind of. Dan and Mike and then Melissa and Lee. But I don’t really see them any more so I don’t really think of them as my siblings
ME
What makes you unique?
MEL
I think what makes me unique is I have an incredible ability to, this sounds really bad but I can – I’m very adaptable and I think I can read any person. And kind of adapt to them and make the situation feel comfortable. I think I just have an ability to read people and just adapt to them

Briefly describe your current lifestlye
MEL
Currently I am working a lot. I love my life right now. I’m really happy. I’m learning everyday and I am living with a really great friend of mine and I love it. And I’m happy. I’m loving mylifestlye right now.
ME
How do you make your living?
MEL
Right now I am a cook at a restaurant called brasserie l’ecole and I feed people (laughs) for a livng

Tell me a memory from a young age that relates to what you are doing now.
MEL
Oh I have exactly a memory for this question. I remember mom was having a faily get-together and aunty paulie and uncle joe were there and neighbors were there and she was cooking this big bbq dinner and I wanted to help so I used the scraps from the vegetables she was cooking – so I think there was carrot peels and cucumber ends and I made a vegetable platter and I used all these vegetable scraps to make this little platter and I went around to all of the guests and offered it to them and I’m pretty sure they thought it was garbage but I was so stoked on this veggie platter so I like to think that was my beginning as a chef
ME
How old do you think you were?
MEL
I think I was probably I don’t know 5 or 6 maybe. Pretty young.
ME
If you could pick another profession what would it be?
MEL
Oh, that’s a tough one. I think I’ve found my career and I’m pretty set in it. Oh I know I think I would be a party planner. I think I could put together a really good party.
